This setting provides precise control over the refresh timer's behavior based on keyword detection results, allowing you to customize monitoring continuation strategies for different scenarios.
Refresh Control Based on Keyword Detection
The extension offers flexible refresh management through checkbox controls that determine whether monitoring continues or halts based on keyword detection outcomes. These settings enable you to tailor the monitoring behavior to match your specific surveillance requirements.

Notification & Highlight Settings for Keyword?
When Keywords Are Found
- Continue Refreshing Enabled: When this checkbox is checked, the page continues refreshing automatically even after target keywords are detected. This maintains ongoing monitoring for dynamic content scenarios where keywords may appear and disappear, or when tracking frequency of keyword appearances over extended periods.
- Continue Refreshing Disabled: When this checkbox is unchecked (default behavior), the refresh timer immediately pauses upon keyword detection. This "alert and halt" mode prevents content loss and allows immediate interaction with newly appeared elements without risk of page reloading.
When Keywords Are Not Found
- Continue Refreshing Enabled: When checked for the not found scenario, the page maintains continuous refreshing while target keywords remain absent.
- Continue Refreshing Disabled: When unchecked for the not found scenario, the refresh timer pauses when expected keywords are missing from the page. This enables monitoring for keyword removal or absence detection scenarios.
