Continue Refreshing: How to Keep Pages Reloading Until You Find What You Need

By default, keyword monitoring can stop the moment your target word appears — which is perfect when you only need the first hit. But sometimes you want the page to keep reloading even after a match, so you never miss the next update.

That is what Continue Refreshing does. With "Continue refreshing on keyword found/not found" enabled, Auto Refresh keeps reloading the page on its normal schedule after each detection, turning a one-shot check into ongoing monitoring.

How to enable Continue Refreshing

1. Open the Auto Refresh popup and switch to the Detect Keyword tab.
2. Enter the keyword (or keywords) you want to watch for.
3. Choose whether to act when the keyword is found or when it is not found.
4. Tick "Continue refreshing on keyword found/not found or selector clicked/missed".
5. Click Save. The page keeps refreshing after every match instead of stopping.

• Continue Refreshing pairs with notifications, sound, and auto-click — you still get alerted on every match while the page keeps reloading.
• Leave it off if you want refreshing to stop on the first detection (for example, when a "Buy now" button finally appears).
• It works with both "When keyword found" and "When keyword not found" modes.

When Continue Refreshing is the right choice

Keyword monitoring has two natural modes. Sometimes you want refreshing to stop the instant a match appears — for example, you are waiting for a single "In stock" or "Approved" to show up and then you are done. Other times, one match is just the first of many: a live blog that keeps adding entries, a queue position that keeps changing, or a scoreboard that updates all game long. Continue Refreshing is built for that second case.

With it enabled, every detection becomes an event rather than an ending. Auto Refresh notifies you (or plays a sound, or auto-clicks) and then keeps reloading on the same schedule, ready to catch the next change. You stay informed of every update instead of only the first one, without ever touching the tab again.

Pairing Continue Refreshing with other actions

Continue Refreshing is most powerful when it is combined with the other Detect Keyword actions. Add a notification and you get pinged on every update while the page keeps reloading; add a sound and you can step away entirely; add auto-click and the extension can act on each match as it arrives. The page never stops watching, and you choose how loudly it tells you.

If a page is updating faster than you can keep up, raise the interval slightly so each detection has room to breathe, or narrow your keyword so only the changes you care about trigger an action. The goal is steady, ongoing monitoring — not a flood of alerts.

For tasks like restock watching, live-score pages, or queue monitors where new matches keep arriving, Continue Refreshing keeps Auto Refresh working long after the first hit. Enable it once and let the page update itself indefinitely.
