How to Prevent the Form Resubmission Dialog on Auto Refresh
If you are using the Auto Refresh extension on a page
that submitted a form, the browser may interrupt every reload with a "To display this page, the browser must send
information that will repeat any action..." dialog. That dialog stops Auto Refresh in its tracks, even when the
extension is correctly configured.
The fix is the built-in "Prevents form
resubmission prompt on reload" option. When enabled before Auto Refresh starts, the extension
performs each refresh in a way that bypasses this confirmation dialog entirely.
Click the Auto Refresh icon in the browser toolbar to open the popup.
Open the Advance Options panel.
Check "Prevents form resubmission prompt on reload".
Click Save.
Start Auto Refresh on the target tab.
Important — the Firefox dialog must be closed first
If Firefox is already showing the "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat
any action…" dialog when you start Auto Refresh, the extension will not be able to refresh the
page.
Click Cancel on that dialog to close it.
Then enable "Prevents form resubmission prompt on reload" and start Auto Refresh again.
Once the option is enabled before the timer starts, the dialog will not reappear on subsequent
automatic refreshes.
